Rocio Landaveri's profile

IRIS / tableware design

This is a personal project, in which I carried out from the industrial design of the physical products to the visual design of the website. It started as my thesis for university, and then developed into a web platform to practice my UX/UI skills.
☕ Context
Buenos Aires is known for its traditional cafes. But the tableware usually consists of plain and standardized sets of white porcelain, that feels cold and has no value.

💡 Innovation
IRIS is designed as a system that works both separately and as a whole. The shapes are simple, to make the fabrication process easier.

💁🏻‍♂️ Multiple Users
It is designed to be used by both the client and the waiter. It is easy to pile up, and the colors allow personalization and warmth for the user.
・ It was challenging to work on the whole project: from designing the physical product to the photos, name and visual identity of the brand.
・ There is a number of overlaps and similaritys between Industrial Design and UX Design.
・ Next time I would focus more on the digital experience and navigation of the e-commerce website.
