Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind tells the tale of two lovers, Joel and Clementine, both of whom decide to undergo a revolutionary and controversial memory-erasing procedure to eliminate each other from their respective lives. The book contains objects that both protagonists use in the movie to forget each other; to emphasize the loss of memory these have been scanned over and over until becoming blank pages.
