Corrosion and patina

The main theme of the works is the theme of Sacrum - the importance of color and light in sacred architecture. The chosen topic is close to me, just like I work in the field of monument conservation and I have daily contact with a given topic.
I have completed a series of works inspired by the temple in which I work. The works will be imbued with the beauty of light and geometry.
On the subject of light, an interesting theory was developed by the Greek philosopher Plato. In his theory, it is a conditional assumption about the hierarchical structure of reality and his views on human nature. The absolute criterion for assessing all human activities is the idea of Good. A person who lives according to the knowledge of what is Good becomes happy. Building the natural order of all things, the gods placed light in the soul of man - this is his objectively existing value. Thanks to this, the soul, having a source of light, naturally strives for the idea of Good-Beauty, which is itself the most powerful source of intellectual light and remains independent from the world.
During the execution of the project, a series of artistic works was created using traditional graphic techniques, gravure (etching, aquatint).
