A random assortment of paintings


I find as much pleasure from the creation of the perfect curve as I do from the final form.  My art has evolved from purely abstract doodles, where the focus was simply the balance of positive and negative space, to an exploration of colour and composition.  I am very much influenced by the simple and effective graphic symbolism of so many of our ancient cultures.  I try hard not to copy directly, but to blend cultural influences with an organic feel.  A result, I believe, of growing up in a multicultural city, having close ties to South Africa, and a desperate love for camping.
