The logo was for an app created to connect the people who love eating food and get their job done efficiently and sometimes quickly. The name of the app was "FOODY".
It was a very straightforward idea. An app delivering food, showing details about nearby restaurants, and getting ratings from the users about the food they have had recently.
I could have made any type of logo but why I choose a typographic logo is because of its classy look. Foody means a person who loves to try different kinds of foods and experience the taste of those delicious items. So I thought it would be better if I think about a spoon and a fork as the alphabet "Y" is very similar to a fork. I tried several designs but adding a spoon was not helping. So I had to leave the spoon part.
Then some ideas hit my brain bush and dropped a question, " Why people become foody". For your kind information being foody does not mean you are greedy about food or loves to waste money. They try these new taste of food every day or even every minute because this is who they are. FOOD makes them HAPPY. They feel pleasure and pleaser means happiness and happiness mean smile. Thus I added the smiley face.
I tried to add a tongue to make it more smile like and show that he is happy because of the food. So I looked at the "O" "O" as if they are eyes and looking at me. So I made that look downward as they are looking at their appetite and feeling happy by tasting it.
