Tree House was my first ever completed comics that cost nearly 5 months, most of the time I was creating the storyboard and it was constantly modified. The whole idea of Tree House came from the first toy I ever received when I was an infant, it was a music box looks like a tree that obsessed me like magic. There is something special about the retro toys I owned thus I want to dig into the theme of childhood memory.
During the quarantine I felt the boundary between reality and make believe became vague, I immersed in the research concerns memory and nostalgia, theories involves how object impact one’s memory and the uncanny, these elements were merged into this surreal world in the comic.
