short film: Allegory of Constellation

What interested me is that how the sky achieved a specific identity, a name, as if it was an object when it is in fact a phenomenon(interaction of million particles). Like wind, the way sky achieves a cognitive presence is very close to that of abstract concepts- such as love, life - even when the sky is more physical presence than abstraction. The sky occupies the presence of man's cognitive world as a one big mass  because those who looked up decided to name what was above them with a single name: sky.

'Constellation' is one element of sky in which this process is especially concentrated. Out of incalculable stars people make conscious connection of stars and bind them with a name. The stars aligned inside a name becomes a specific form. Resulting constellation is a symbol which those who are conscious of its definition(or narratives which those images convey) can recognize.

I wanted to depict birth of constellations into cognitive universe through narrative, eventual de-recognization & rebirth.
The musics used: Silent Hill 3 soundtrack, The Gravel Road soundtrack.

This was the first time I actively worked with actors who is other than me, and who do not have any pre-concieved impression of the script. It was challenging yet intriguing process. This is more like a sketch to me, and I am looking forward to be able to come up with more developed version of this project
