Brushing or combing: which is better?
Know the main differences between the comb and the brush and find out which is the best option for your hair. To know more, check out: comb and brushes

If you keep asking yourself in front of the mirror if you should use a comb or brush, know that this choice is crucial when it comes to straightening the wires.

Basically, the main difference in function between brush and comb is that the first models and the second untangles.

But there are many models of both and on the market. To decide which one is best for you, you need to take your hair type into account.

If it is smooth, prefer the tooth combs closer together. Racket-type brushes, with nylon or plastic bristles, are also great. But be careful: as the brush stimulates the production of the sebaceous glands of the scalp, do not abuse your brushing if you have oily hair.

Wavy, bulky strands call for combs with more widely spaced teeth and rounded ends. The brush bristles should also have a wider spacing. Curly hair has to be combed with long-toothed combs and only when they are wet. The same goes for using the brush.

But, for this type of hair, the best thing is to straighten it with your fingers.

And when it's time to smooth?

Anyone who likes to tame the wires under the dryer should bet on the round brushes, which make it easier to straighten the locks. The longer the hair, the larger the brush diameter should be.

Today, there are very modern models based on ceramics, a material that absorbs the heat from the dryer and streamlines the modeling process.

Give preference to the types with mixed bristles, which unite horsehair or boar hair and nylon. And choose those with rubberized handles, which help to give firmness when it comes to holding and facilitate the “stretch and pull” movement.
