Volcano - Stamp Design

Volcano is a stamp concept which melts the components of a stamp, the stick and the ink pad together as one unit with a fluent design language. The design is based on the Japanese “sign” tradition and represents and respects the meaning behind it.
The chosen ink colour is represented as ring with the indicating colour in between the static lower part and the removable upper part. Its appearance reminds of a volcano and ultimately transforms the stamp into a sign itself. Imagining the smoke of a volcano the stamp adds a sensory perception for our senses to a stamp as it reveals an unobtrusive fragrance in a variety of combinations with the colour. Following this idea the design expresses the customers own individual way of expression through the sign for our aesthetic eye and our sensible nose.

The intention of the design is to be used and understood as a valuable, sustainable product since it is made of natural materials such as ceramics and metal. Natural soap ingredients for the applied ink may associate with the chosen colour such as fruits or flowers. All colour tones have a precious metallic finish to underline the signs' worth.

Usage Scene:
The concept is supposed be a meaningful part of life for an individual. Due to its
unique appearance it will be a pleasure on everyone’s workspace whether it’s
in someone’s office or private desk.
