I had studied in Hsinchu for half and five years, I like Hsinchu a lot.Hsinchu is a place where consists of different cultures of all kind of generations.There are somewhere new to shop and watch movies; somewhere cozy to have a cup of coffee and handmade desserts; somewhere old and traditional to feel the historical vibe of the city; somewhere simple but cute to visit animals…etc.
-Hsinchu City God Temple: There are many stands which are very old around the temple and their products are mainly the same😂Hsinchu meatballs and fried rice noodles.
-Hsinchu Zoo : This zoo is tiny only have a few kinds of animals, but the environment of this zoo is very cozy.The color used in the zoo are earth colors which make people feel calm and warm.And the mayor of Hsinchu said that the original intention of rebuilding this zoo is to make a better place for sheltering animals which are old or harmed.I would rather called this zoo “a big park”,I think it’s more suitable.
-A Japanese restaurant in Hsinchu called “歌麿”.Hsinchu is a very important city of Taiwan where there’s a huge science park, lots of technology companies and two famous universities NCTU and NTHU in Taiwan.Hsinchu is a main city of researching semiconductor.As a result, there are lots of people from different countries come to work,negotiate,have meetings…etc, so there are some foreign restaurants in Hsinchu including Japanese restaurant.This is a very authentic family-kind restaurant in Japan, there are lots of Japanese home-cuisine options on the menu, and the chef is Japanese of course.There are also many Japanese customers in this restaurant ,they like to order beer first and then order the main course like: curry with tonkatsu (fried pork chop),eating and drinking with comic books are their routines.
