FACES OF NEPAL

A year ago, I had the opportunity of visiting Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. From the moment I got there, my eyes were greeted by the sight of distinct faces. This project, titled ‘Faces of Nepal’, was born out of a desire to document some of these faces that captured and conveyed the essence of Nepal. Through this series of portraits, I wish to give more exposure to the people of this often neglected land. I made these pictures on the streets of Kathmandu, relying on natural light, and capturing the subjects in their natural surroundings. None of the pictures in this project were staged, as one can probably tell from the candid expressions on the faces of the subjects. All pictures were made on Canon EOS 80D, with minimal post processing on iPhone.
