Philip Dada Jnr Branding

Project Scope:
Brand identity development project for a fashion line. The business was already underway but I was hired to handle the visual identity of the brand at the client's request.

Direct Contribution:
I handled every stage of the project from ideations and sketches to final development.

Design Rational:
The client intimated me on his love for horses while we discussed the project. He also shared his desire for his brand to emit an elite, vintage feel which the imagery of horses brought to life.
This informed my decision to use the knight symbol and weave a story in a minimalistic fashion. I used lines a lot in the design to represent fashion. In sewing, a lot of lines and threads are used so this was my subtle way of putting it in there.  It turned out to look like me trying to see the shape of a horse. In keeping with his desire, he also picked the colour palette.

Design Process:
I started out with sketches, moved to illustration and when the client made changes, I was able to move on to implementation.
