Do circunscrito espaço de confinamento dado pelo estado de pandemia no que vivemos, surge esta proposta de AÇÃO, um elemento profundamente tátil, compreendido através da nossa relação com o mesmo, olhando em volta, lido como um todo, e projetado principalmente para ser tocado, dado que fomos privados do toque e da partilha de caricias ou da falta de contacto, durante este período.
Neste momento, de subordinação ao espaço confinado a peça que proponho é um exercício de liberdade nas suas formas e de reflexão na sua mensagem. Alia aspetos que já pretendia incluir tais como acessibilidade e inclusividade,estes estão presentes na utilização do código braille, tornando-se assim uma espécie de mensagem criptográfica entre quem vê e quem sente. Este poder dado ao código cria uma simbiose que da sentido à volumetria da peça dando-lhe relevo como um todo.
A epígrafe "SOMETIEMES MAKING SOMETHING LEADS TO NOTHING" foi retirada do livro “The Politics of Rehearsal” do autor Francis Alÿs, título de uma performance que o artista realiza nas cidade do México (1997) mas que quando descontextualizada serve como uma boa síntese do período de confinamento.

From the limited space of isolation given by the pandemic crisis in which we live, this exercice comes up as an action proposal, a deeply tactile element, understood through our relationship with it, looking around, read as a whole, and designed mainly to be touched, given that we were deprived of touching and sharing care or lack of contact during this period.
At this moment, from subordination to the confined space, the piece I propose is an exercise in freedom in its forms and reflection in its message. It combines aspects that it already intended to include, such as accessibility and inclusiveness, these are present in the use of the braille code, thus becoming a kind of cryptographic message between those who see and those who feel. This power given to the code creates a symbiosis that gives meaning to the volume of the piece, giving it relief as a whole.
The title "SOMETIEMES MAKING SOMETHING LEADS TO NOTHING" was taken from the book “The Politics of Rehearsal” by author Francis Alÿs, the title of a performance that the artist creates in Mexico City (1997) but which,when decontextualized, serves as a good synthesis of the confinement period.
