These are a selection of photos of my final year degree major project. I printed the cover on canvas and bound the book. There was a strong emphasis on creating depth in this project. Having been raised on a farm surrounded by women, I decided to design a calendar with the theme of women farmers to celebrate their enormous and invaluable contribution to Irish farming. This book was mainly photographic based with the addition of my handwriting style to illustrate the quotes of text. I used a few old personal family photographs to depict some of the quotes.

 

I presented this project in the college end of year exhibition for the public and external examiners to view it. I sent this project to a publisher in Dublin which resulted in me getting my design work published in the form of two exclusive books.
