The goal behind this Historical Adaptation design was to create a bold, dramatic, and luxurious space that reflects the style of the Hollywood Regency era. The intention was to use neutral colors to create a backdrop for a complimentary hue. There are luscious textiles and sophisticated furnishings to give the space a calm, relaxing vibe. The space designed is a relaxation spot located in a basement.
Hollywood Style Aspects:
-black and gold as main colors
-deep royal purple as a luxurious pop of color
-dramatic, glitzy artwork to accent
-bubble-like light fixtures and other round accents
Regency Style Aspects:
-round accents and soft lines for femininity

How I Overcame the Challenge of Brightening the Space:
-bright white chaise
-large chandelier and ample lighting where necessary
-reflective items, such as the mirror and cocktail table, and shiny gold accents to bounce light
