We Choose to Go to the Moon is an animated typographic study of JFK’s speech. The process included editing the speech, adding a background track, and then visually animating the audio.
A black and white color-scheme was selected to simply illustrate the visual difference between being on the earth and in space. This color palette also adds to the digital feeling of the typography and illustrative elements.
In comparison to traditional kinetic typography, a large amount of white space is utilized to better emphasize the words themselves. Illustrative elements are used to visually represent the words they surround.
