Typography Poster
I chose Helvetica as my primary typeface. Using Arial's prevalance in our world as a supporting topic, I aimed to educate through my poster about the history of Helvetica and how Arial rose succeed off Helvetica's success.
Helvetica’s personality of clear readability and simplicity was embodyed in the design, allowing the content to speak for itself. The poster focuses on the differences between the two typefaces, comparing a traced Arial versus the printed Helvetica, suggesting the significance of when someone whom designed Arial based it on Helvetica.
