As a vehicle to building community, The Good Life Community Bike Shop is a one-stop-shop biking support hub in Calgary’s downtown core offering reconditioned/recycled bikes, repair space, tools and instruction, and workshops. The shop provides a safe and supportive atmosphere for novice and experienced riders alike.  Aside from the benefits of encouraging cycling through mechanical awareness, self-sufficiency, and affordability, environmental benefits include reducing carbon emissions through reduced traffic congestion as well as individual production in addition to recycling bicycles and parts otherwise destined for the waste stream. The shop not only facilitates access to affordable bicycles and services, thus enabling people to ride and keep riding, but builds the stronger sense of community that Calgary's booming population so desperately needs.
