Research and application in the field of type design
Abstract:
Type of vision addresses the discipline of type design through a theoretical research followed by a practical application. It is divided into two different projects. The former is a typographic revival of Breite grotesk, produced by the Leipzig-based J.G. Schelter & Giesecke typefoundry between 1890–1895. The latter examines the issue of legibility in order to design a typefaces specifically developed to be used in signage wayfinding system.
