Sitting quietly in the heart of Europe, blessed with breathtaking natural wonders and innumerable cultural attractions, Slovakia is one of the most beautiful countries in the region. Despite its preciousness, the area hasn’t been overrun by tourists. For this reason, my goal is to spread the word about this remarkably attractive country that is perfect for motorcyclists and lovers of road trips.
This editorial project is a comprehensive tour guide that contains a spiral-bound guidebook and a folded map, showcasing the roads and places worth discovering in Slovakia. The work is based on my personal experience. I have travelled across the country on my motorcycle while taking photos and gathering information.
Fine-art photography plays a central role in this project. The majority of the photographs deal with the dichotomy of presenting the aesthetic of the attraction and at the same time expressing a feeling or conveying a message. In addition to this, airborne imagery highlights the ambience of the road or landscape from a particular perspective.
