2020 PGA CHAMPIONSHIP - TIMELINE FEATURE
It's been almost a year and a half since Spillt first reached out to me about working on a project with them. Unfortunately, we kept running into scheduling conflicts and our opportunities to work together continued to allude us. Finally, we were able to lock in a date for an exciting project they had just got in the door. I was tasked with coming up with styleframes and a concept for ESPN'S coverage of the 2020 PGA Championship.
With a pretty tight brief and some stellar reference to jump from it didn't take too long to hone in on an idea that I felt would work well for the ask. These segments would essentially act as historical timelines of champions past and the locations they had won. With that in mind, I decided a strong graphic approach leaning heavily on type would be a great way to make these pieces mallaeble enough for the quick production timeline and turn around.
