Brief:
Create the name, logo and applied identity for the Museum of the Circus. Ensure you use it as a vehicle to express your typographic skills.
 
Challenges:
Conveying risk, without the brand becoming overtly serious. Maintaining that ‘entertaining day out’ for people.
 
Interpretation:
When undertaking this assignment I wanted to take a different angle. Sure, we all know the circus, where we see performances that shock and astound us. But how can we get closer than front row? What if we could actually get into the circus and become part of that inner circle? This is my angle. To see the circus through the eyes of a performer; and take on the risk alongside the glamour. This brand, Sawdust & Stilts uses illustration and typography to achieve this.
