Vynil design "Currents by Tame Impala"
El album "Currents" de la banda Tame Impala me transmite una fuerte sensación de melancolía y psicodélia que quise representar gráficamente, como parte de un ejercicio de diseño de discos que nos fue propuesto en clase. Usé formas poco definidas en las que resaltan las curvas, las cuales acompañé de tonos azules y morados que parecen mezclarse entre sí. Esto, con el propósito de generar un efecto cautivador, que a la vez resultara bastante distorsionado y mareador. La tipografía principal que fue usada para el título fue diseñada por mi y hecha a mano, mientras que todo lo demás, fue realizado digitalmente.
The album "Currents" by the band Tame Impala gives me a strong feeling of melancholioa and psychedelia that I wanted to represent graphically, as part of a vynil design exercise that was proposed to us in class. I used undefined shapes in which curves stand out, which I accompanied with different blue and purple tones that seem to blend with each other. This, with the purpose of generating a captivating effect, which at the same time could seem to be quite distorted and dizzying. The main typography that was used for the title was designed by me and done by hand, while everything else was done digitally.
