Riley Green Photomontage

I started out my photomontage by trying to find images that fit my subject: country music. I picked Riley Green for my artist because I really like the lyrics/ story behind his songs, which made it easy to find images. I also went from a vertical to a horizontal portrait because I felt like my images would fit better.
I originally started by putting the state of Alabama in the background to represent his hometown, and is also a common topic in his songs. Then I added his logo and name in front.
I decided to take out Alabama and just put the American flag in the background. I went with the wood base because I felt like that represented more of a "country" look. I then cut out pieces of the flag so I could place images inside of them. I found an image of a broken piece of wood then made a brush out of it. I alternated between both sides of the wood so the break wouldn't look too consistent.
Here I just added some images to the background to fit the outdoors/country music topic.
I placed Riley Green back into the image and wanted to make him stand out from the background. I used a brush to make a red highlight around him so he would stick out.
To top if off I added his name across the image with a white glow and also placed a couple of his sponsors to make it look more "official".
