The Truth About Confederate-Named Schools

The project was commissioned by the non-profit organisation Equal Justice Initiative. EJI wanted an explainer to inform and educate about the history behind the several schools named in honour of Confederate leaders who fought to preserve slavery and racial hierarchy in America. Besides the specific topic addressed in the animation, the main purpose of the project was to grow awareness and start a deeper conversation on the roots and consequences of racial inequality.
