I was commissioned to create an illustration for an upcoming kickstarter campaign for the study of multiple sclerosis. The project was to transform three doctors into caricatures and provide a super hero theme to their respective fields of study. 

The third doctor is Dr. Jeffery English, who specializes in neurology. I took a Charles Xavior approach and posed Dr. English in a way reflective of mental powers.

The second doctor, Dr. Barry Marshall, is the man who discovered a bacteria called H. Pylori. The client wanted the artwork of Dr. Marshall to reflect him holding nunchucks. The nunchucks in the image are the bacteria H. Pylori. 

The third doctor is Dr. Charles Procter holding a  laporoscopic laser which is used in surgeries. I chose to have the laser reflect a sword and placed Dr. Procter in a swordsman stance, prepared for precision cutting.

My client had a vision he wanted to be translated into a powerful message. He provided me with a collage of what he was looking for, and I used it as the base to create the final illustration.
