Typographic Memory is a self-initiated project, that tries to capture and archive examples of urban typography in our home city, Thessaloniki. The incredible and very interesting cases of typography found on old signs, hand-drawn lettering and plastic vintage labels, were photographed in the streets of Thessaloniki, and became an inspiration to create a collage poster series. We believe that typography, just like a living organism, is constantly changing and evolving, following the trends and the needs of the times. We want to help and play a small part in this evolution, by archiving examples of the past, so that they can be used as inspiration for the typography of the future.
