One of the richest ecosystems, and the most significant in humanity's fight against climate change, wetlands are crucial in protecting coastlines against storms and erosion, sequestering tons more carbon than terrestrial forests and are a treasure trove of wild biodiversity, being an ideal habitat for a plethora of species to thrive. Unfortunately, wetlands and their inhabitants are victim to unsustainable development and pollution.
