Italy - A photo journal of a personal dream
As a brazilian, traveling to a diferent country isn't a common thing. Still, going to Italy has always been a goal for me and my family. Not only we are partially of italian descent, but i'm an architect, and a big part of my academic experience was exhaustively studying the history, art and architecture of this region of Europe.
In 2017, we were finally able to make this dream come true.
These are a small selection of the more than 2500 pictures i took in about 10 days. My goal with them is to show how i felt when i was there... how magic these places felt for me and the strange feeling of nostalgia i got when wondering if i was in a place where one of my great-grandparents once lived in.
Como brasileira, viajar para um país diferente não é uma coisa comum. Mesmo assim, ir para a Itália sempre foi um objetivo para mim e para minha família. Não apenas somos parcialmente descendentes de italianos, mas também sou arquiteta, e grande parte da minha experiência acadêmica foi estudar exaustivamente história, arte e arquitetura desta região da Europa.
Em 2017, finalmente conseguimos realizar esse sonho.
Esta é uma pequena seleção das mais de 2500 fotos que tirei em cerca de 10 dias. Meu objetivo com eles é mostrar como me senti quando estive lá ... quão mágicos esses eram para mim e a estranha sensação de nostalgia que tive ao me perguntar se estava em um lugar onde um dos meus bisavós morou.
