The Theme of the NIFT Diary kit 2021 is Handicrafts of India.
I've chosen this theme as craft not only shows versatility of India but it signifies our culture in so many ways.
A Sheetal pati from Assam or the Toda Embroidery from Tamil Nadu, it's all that makes us.
Sadly, have been neglected in some forms or the other.
Through the NIFT DIARY, I want to throw light on the glorious crafts of India, how at every step there is vividness !

Desk Calendar Cover Page
The Cover for both is kept same to create a continuity and that is also inspired from different set of embroideries and textiles (other than the illustrations from the diary) from around the nation mentioned inside the cover.
Talking about the design, I've kept minimal and the font has also been taken such that it gives an impression of Indian culture but also giving a modern twist.
The Diary has white space at the right and left sides respectively since being art driven, we always want to scribble an idea from our head to a piece of paper, and who would like, another element of design (a line ) distorting it ?

The Desk Calendar has also been kept very minimal, with some notes at the bottom in case we need to memorize something very important, although calendars and reminders have been take over by the digital wave but the crossing of some tasks from the paper still feels the same.
