Music video for Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark’s song The Punishment Of Luxury from their homonymous album. It was an honour to work for one of the most influential bands of the new wave era, which is a big personal favourite. The hypnotic, repetitive, trippy style we developed for this video aims at expressing the anxieties that consumerism brainwash inflicts on contemporary society.
By blending together analog lens flares and light leaks with rotoscoped footage and cel animation, we created a strobing, surreal, dark video that bonds strongly with the lyrics and the rhythm of the song.
