The Original idea was to create an app that would be named 'Unplug'. It would allow you to unplug from the always online culture and let you experience the best places in the city near you.

 

It was intended to allow you to easily find out about and download directions to hidden gems in the city.

However I soon became interested in the idea of promoting the most trendy areas, and those smaller places that create a really good night out.

I came up with the idea of 'BUZZ'. An app that lets you see the most buzzing places in the city right now. It would allow you to find out about current events, where the cheapest drinks are, and even how much entry is and how long the queues are.

Each updating reguarly to allow us to make our decision in real time.

Logo Design -
When developing the logo, I wanted a clean look.. but still able to represent the idea of a buzz while contrasted against an image of the cityscape.

Here I looked at various typefaces to use with the logo, I chose a calender themed font to represent the idea of an updating, changing experience.

The front page will constantly change to represent the flow of new events and club nights that have started

Here you can also be alerted to new events posted at your favourite places.
 

One example of what buzz provides is up to date information from bars, and clubs around your area. For example; at the Jazz cafe we can see its generally cheaper than brewdog, but slightly further away. It also provides a range of music, from rap to traditional jazz.

These allow us to make quick observations when choosing where to go.

Clicking onto the Jazz Cafe provides more information on it. You can read reviews from previous nights, view photos from recent events and check the prices on some of the main drinks. 

Here there will be further information, for example if there is a specific night or a specific band playing.

Finally you can also check the 'tonights Buzz' feature. Here the highest rated and most talked about events/nights out will be desplayed with short snap information to allow you to make an informed decision.

Buzz will support more areas than just nightclubs and bars. One example is 'Buzz Vintage'.

Here people can find out the trendiest vintage clothes shops in your local vacinity. The cost, variery and distance will all be taken into account. Furthermore customers can generate buzz for their favourite stores.

Once you've chose a store you'd like to visit, you can use the mapping system to guide you towards the store.
