The Vajra grand Puja of Sakya Monastery

August was significant as the Sakya Monastery performed its annual Vajra grand Puja. During the performance of the Vajra Dance, the dancers wear masks of the protector of the Sakya Temple and various spirit beasts. The dance uses a simple storyline to reflect the basic content of killing the devil in the tantric dance of Tibetan Buddhism.
