Shiseido, a long-time supporter of the arts, drew inspiration from art nouveau as the bedrock of its aesthetic program. For the purpose of promoting Shiseido’s iconic lotion launched in 1897 and other latest products, the concept of retaining elements of their original work and giving it a modern touch was achieved by changing up the characters’ hair and clothes.
