Pomegranate Garden
Exclusive pattern illustrated in watercolors
EN: This composition was conceived from the idea of translating the lightness of a pomegranate garden into a print – through its states of maturation from the floral buds to the enigmatic and powerful fruit in its mature states. Entirely illustrated in the watercolor technique, the print features a more realistic one on the fruit and its seeds and loose brushstrokes on the branches and leaves. For the flowers, we chose to paint light color ones to help bring the proposed lightness to the general design linking them with the lighter tones used in all the elements. Ultimately, we create two more variants - a light green one and a black background to show that the print also works with high contrast. We added a texture for a discreet granular effect.
PT: Esta composição foi concebida a partir da ideia de traduzir em estampa a leveza de um jardim de romãs - fruta enigmática e poderosa, através de suas fases de maturação, desde os gomos florais até o fruto em sua fase madura. Toda ilustrada em aquarela, a estampa brinca entre a busca de uma técnica mais realista na fruta e suas sementes com pinceladas soltas nos galhos e folhas. Para a composição das flores, escolhemos trabalhar com flores de coloração clara para ajudar a trazer a leveza proposta na estampa geral, fazendo uma ponte entre os tons claros empregados na iluminação de todos os elementos e as transparências da aquarela. Por fim, criamos mais duas variantes, uma verde claro combinando com os tons das folhas, e outra mais contrastante, com um fundo preto. Adicionamos uma textura na estampa para criar um leve efeito granular, lembrando um papel mais rústico.
