Brief: 21 Years of Baseline Magazine

Baseline is an award winning international typographic magazine devoted to typography, book arts and graphic design. To mark Baseline’s upcoming 21st year anniversary, the magazine was seeking a one off special subscribers only edition with unique masthead and cover design. It sought to make a statement with the 21 year anniversary edition to reinforce their reputation throughout the graphic design industry as leaders and innovators on all things type.
Creative art and design all begins in the same place – child’s play. Through my masthead I wished to celebrate the beauty of craftmanship which evolves from one’s passion over a period of time. In this instance the celebration of 21 years of committment to an award winning publication. The hand stitched masthead took a total of 20 unconsecutive hours.
