This Project was created to understand the layout principles, type hierarchy, use of elements and image editing principles. It also helped us to obtain an understanding as to how to combine the various design elements in an appropriate manner.
The brief was to design a magazine layout for a given set of text content by incorporating Type Pairing, Colors, Shapes and Images.
Initially, we students were supposed to come up with layout ideas by only using typography and no other element of design.

Tried different variations, and came up with a few designs. We were then required to make use of various design elements. I have used Canva for this exercise. I have tried to make layouts for a Royalty free image, an editorial image and a Commercial Image. Besides that I also tried to create a funky magazine layout with the use of Image editing, duo tones and colors.

By working on this project, I got the opportunity to learn to combine various design elements and use design principles involved in layout design. I also enjoyed learning the various ways to edit an image and the use of different types of images like a Royalty free, Editorial and Commercial Image.
