Catóptricos is a study of the relationship between the viewer, the space, and the artwork, which is a kinetic sculpture made of mirror stainless steel sheets, following the basic inner structure of the praxinoscope: the inner wheel with angled mirrors.

It aims to explore a different way to perceive the environment surrounding us on different levels; virtual and physical. Through experimentation with optical phenomena, light reflection, and movement, we can see new virtual places emerging and how space around us is deformed.

The word catoptric refers to devices that display objects by reflected light using mirrors.
