ACADEMIC PROJECT
Custom made boxes designed for an artist and ceramist (Paula Greif) who makes unique organically shaped pieces decorated with abstract shapes and patterns. The boxes would be used as packaging for her pieces and are meant to be seen as an object to be kept as well and not thrown away. The design of the boxes makes use of the same shapes and patterns that are used in the artist's pieces.

On the back of the box there is a drawing made by the artist of her space, which works as a workshop and store, as well as its location and contact information. It is a way to give more visibility to her business. The goal of personalized boxes is a way to turn them into a visually interesting object, which is an incentive for their reusal.
Even though the artist has a logo (visible on her website), the  symbol used has been taken from the artists personal card in order to give a more artisanal and authenthic look to the brand.

In smaller boxes, the drawing in the back disappears and the logo is used only on the lid in order for the texture to be utilized more widely.
Typeface used is Raleway
