I did this conceptual project during as part of my internship at MSCEB in Bahrain. The purpose of this project was to design an office for MTV in New York City keeping in mind the company's existing and developing brand. With this project I had to choose materials, lighting, and furniture. However, to help me be more realistic in my designing, I was also required to do details to show that I had thought through how to properly execute my designs. I was not given a budget, but was told to be concious of how much items cost so that I was aware of which areas were the best to spend money on, like the reception or the conference room as they were the ones that would be seen the most by prospective and existing clients. Essentially, my supervisor wanted to ensure that I was not wasteful with my budget.
