Kingsley Holgate is a well-known South African explorer, humanitarian and author. Partnering with Captain Morgan Black Label, his team embarked on an expedition to distribute 50 000 mosquito nets to underprivileged communities all over Africa in the 'One Net, One Life' campaign. Mosquito nets are a cheap way to prevent and eradicate malaria.
These magazine adverts tracked his 33-country journey (or rather, the journey of his peak cap) on a month-to-month basis, giving the reader a unique travelogue experience.After the expedition, a promotional competition was held, with the prize being the Land Rover which Kingsley used on his travels.
I was involved with typesetting each new instalment, retouching the peak cap and preparing all files for print.
