Berlin's Reichstag

Another one from the archives, these photos go back to October of 2018. This was the very last day of a two week trip through Eastern Europe, which ended in Berlin. I wanted to get the most out of my last day with an early morning visit to this amazing architectural monument.

The Reichstag in Berlin is home to the Bundestag or the German parliament with the glass dome serving as a symbol for the transparency of the parliament, of which the main hall can be seen below from inside the dome. The building is free for anyone to visit, although you do have to sign up in advance and choose a time slot. I definitely recommend planning your visit for the earliest time, so you can enjoy the amazing morning light and avoid the big crowds, although thanks to a large electronic sun shield blocking any direct sunlight, you can count on amazing views all throughout the day.

Thanks for watching!
