#oneperday2020
The drawing brief for this week was to create protest posters about something we are passionate about. I chose to focus on the issue of child trafficking.

#savethechildren.

My target audience is people who use social media platforms life Instagram and Facebook. I aimed to make them easily shareable and focusing on trendy, 'aesthetic' colours. This was to ensure that as many people as possible are motivated to share the images to create awareness for the issue.
The image above shows the original sketch and concept for the different images. I then found reference images, and drew the children's features. I chose the colour palette to all be cohesive but not excessively 'matchy'. I chose to use children's faces and features to depict their innocence and emphasise that human trafficking affects children as well.
REFLECTION
Overall I am really pleased with the outcome of my four drawings. I like that the drawings have a cohesive style and colour palette, allowing them to be shared individually or as group. The style is trendy and I can imagine it being shared, along with educational material on child trafficking on social media. I am also happy with the second "let kids be kids" drawing in black and white, with the highlight of blue. I chose the blue to draw attention to the little boys eyes, and emphasis the innocence seen in a child's eyes.
