As a class, we were approached to create a menu and logo design for local bar and bistro. It was specifically requested by the owner that the color yellow be used and the name of the restaurant, Hive, was predetermined. My approach was to create a menu that had the rustic nature of a bar, paired with the elegant essence of a bistro, all while keeping the overall design minimal due to the complexity of the concept of the restaurant.
