I designed the poster for drag and burlesque club Conspiracy's second live show.
The Design Process
I started the project by getting familiar with Club Conspiracy's previous posters and overall aesthetic. The following step was assembling several moodboards in order to better understand what sort of aesthetic, mood, and visuals I wanted to convey.
I explored ideas by making several rough sketches.
I also did some initial experimenting with colors, composition, and fonts.
Once I was content with my illustration idea, I sketched it in more detail with a pencil. The next step was to decide the final color palette, with the help of some rough coloring, and try out the composition digitally.
I ran the idea by my client. Once I got the green light, I drew the final illustration. My client requested some changes to the initial composition, and after the edits, the final poster was done.
