ARCH Magazine
This assignment was part of my layout class. The task was to create a magazine and later produce them in perfect binding. I decided to make an architectural magazine.
The Arch magazine is a fictive architecture magazine with a clean, modern and professional design.
The Arch magazine features all kinds of architecture from historical buildings like the leaning Tower of Pisa to modern giants like the Burj Khalifa. Each building is shown as a cut-out image with a bar coming out of it which flows through the double page and is colored by category. This doesn’t only give every page a light feel beside the heavy nature of the image but also a simple way of browsing trough the magazine. The bars are positioned as such that you can see the color coding even if the book is closed to get right into the category you are interested in. The content are interesting facts and special features of the these buildings.
With this magazine, I would like to show my ability to work with layouts and the digital but also the analog presentation of a magazine.
