This was a personal project I worked on to practice logo design. My goal was to design a logo for a sort of high-end publishing company which publishes books about self-improvement, music and fine arts.
I got my inspiration from an Ancient Egyptian goddess called Bastet. She was the goddess of cats, protection, ointments, fertility, children, music, the arts, and warfare. I thought her image would match with the types of books this company would publish.
As for the font, I decided to use a flared serif type font called Marcellus SC to give the logo a more serious and high-end look.
