I was Incredibly lucky to work on a project like the Brownlow medal. The pressure stakes are high and many iterations and concepts were worked through. My main point of reference for the detailing was from vintage cigar wrappers which flowed through all of the final assets. For the print and finishes, firstly we triplexed two layers of black and one layer of white for a heavy feel. The top layer featured foil edging, a blind de-bossed pattern and a die-cut window for the emblem to show through. The middle layer featured a foil sculpted embossed emblem. Lastly the back side featured foil sculpted typography and the detail and variable print data for attendee names were finished in black over print. I was incredibly happy with the finished result and the client was extremely happy with the end product.
