Sanlam Sky Billboard & Mural Design

Background

This is a collaboration project with King James Group Cape Town done for Sanlam Sky.

Sanlam Sky provides a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions to the South African entry-level market. Sanlam Sky Solutions’ products include funeral cover, retirement annuities, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans.

Sanlam Sky has booked various OOH space in townships around the country, in order to drive foot traffic into client care centres and generate stronger leads for the funeral business.
Objective

1. Increase presence and relevance within the townships
2. Drive consideration in the Emerging Middle Market
Messaging:

“Sanlam pays most funeral claims in 4 hours”

It’s their biggest selling point and they make sure that people know and recognise it.
We translated “4 hours” into each of the respective languages spoken in the regions where we’ll be putting up murals.
BRIEF

-  To create artworks in total that will be painted on the township murals,
   bringing murals to life.
-  Each artwork needs to include the portrait of a person, the clock image with the “4”
and simple cityscape that is applicable everywhere.
Illustrated Characters with their respective cityscape backgrounds.
