Caracas Mental Map
2010
Artwork created in 2010 to demonstrate Lynch's principle of iconic mapping. The mental map of Caracas, a primarily 'green' city, lacked the numerous parks, gardens and green promenades in the common imaginary.
Rebeca's work started from this piece and lead to an exploration of why this was, leading to the removal of protective walls that enclosed the parks and large green areas of the city.
